Magic is the UNSEEN. It’s invisible. And yet WE FEEL IT in oh so many ways. Even more so when we BELIEVE.
Do you BELIEVE in magic dear one?
What if I was to tell you that you, yes YOU, ARE PURE UNADULTERATED MAGIC! As human beans, we have the CAPACITY for DREAMING. For IMAGINATION. For MANIFESTING IDEAS out of nothing!
We are INSPIRED. From the word ‘INSPIRE’ – a LATIN WORD meaning TO BREATHE IN SPIRIT. To take in Spirit and let it whirl around within us, gathering its INTELLIGENCE into our every cell and our bloodstream! A TRILLION MICRO PARTICLES OF POTENTIALITY, like a blizzard of dust, spin around us in ever changing dances all of the time, forming, and reforming themselves like a giant super-webbed computer highway! But we don’t necessarily TRUST this magic, until we see the FORMLESS BECOME FORM before our eyes! Until we get the ‘ABRACADABRA’ of the magician’s wand. The tap of the top hat. The silken kerchiefs endlessly being pulled from their sleeve.
IMAGINATION is ‘MAGIC IN ACTION’. It’s the SPACE that holds all POTENTIALITY. Your potential. Your imagination is UNBOUNDED by any laws, of any IMPOSSIBILITY, of all the ways that magic can be limited in the seen world!
Being a CREATIVE GENIUS is a WAY OF BEING in the world - to live in a way that gives you the SENSITIVITY and MATTER that allows you to CREATE in a curated way. You have the material to curate from. There is NO MAGIC WITHOUT FORM.
To live a life INFUSED WITH MAGIC we have to be awake to life. CURIOUS. OPEN. RECEPTIVE. To be able to take in the moments and experiences and emotions and let them transform within us. It’s like ingesting a square piece of paper and letting our insides fold it this way and that until an origami bird pops out – so to speak! The MAGIC HAPPENS ON THE INSIDE – our only work is to follow its teachings. Its leaning. Its asking.
MAGIC + ART. MYTH + CREATIVITY. POET + WIZARD. MUSICIAN + ALCHEMIST. SPELL + SONG. We don’t really know where creativity comes from, so we BEAR THE PARADOX of it BEING THE CURRENCY OF OUR LIVES – if we are WILLING TO that is!
Sometimes when I’M WRITING I feel like GOD’S SECRETARY simply typing away without knowing what’s coming out. The words NOT OF MY OWN THINKING but of something else. The GENIUS inside. Where the lamp is POLISHED BY INTENTIONAL ATTENTION, REVERENCE + JOY. Basic keys to living a creative life!
It’s all MAGIC!
TRICKSTER energy. WITCHY! And sadly, we all know what happened to them!
BEING THE ULTIMATE MANIFESTOR & CREATOR OF OUR OWN LIVES. Essentially, having TOTAL FREEDOM and therefore access to the MAGIC of these powers GOES AGANST the IMPRISONMENT + DISEMPOWERMENT of a society that only deals with those willing to be COGS IN THE MACHINE! Harsh but true.
When you UNSHACKLE YOURSELF from conventions and expectations, people will look at the work you do – that work which is human, and intelligent, and brave – and SEE REAL MAGIC IN ACTION.
If YOU CAN IMAGINE IT, you can create it. Your creativity is literally the magic wand to cast the spell of whatever you choose to create.
THAT’S WHY IT’S SO POTENT.
THAT’S WHY ITS SEEN AS DANGEROUS.
THAT’S WHY WE HAVE TO BE CAUTIOUS + CLEAR + FULLY PREPARED to TAKE ON THE CONSEQUENCES of our magic in action deeds and desires!
That’s why WE STALL because MAGIC ISN’T RATIONAL, it’s a part of the SOUL’S PLAY. The mind is quick to come in like a sniper TAKING OUT THE HOLY + THE DIVINE + THE AWE, and leaving us with the PITH + PIPS, the DOUBTS, the FEARS, the human need to SHIT ON OUR OWN BRILLIANCE!
MAGIC IS A RESPONSIBILITY.
YOUR MAGIC IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!
To PRACTICE magic is to BELIEVE IN YOUR OWN POWER. To believe in one’s own power is to carry the responsibility of that power. It is to UNDERSTAND THE GRAVITY OF OUR PRESENCE in this world, and hopefully to USE THAT POWER WITH KINDNESS + WISDOM—and you can only earn wisdom with EFFORT, EXPERIMENTATION + EXPERIENCE. It takes more than good intent.
Our CREATIVITY HAS A REAL EFFECT ON THE WORLD, and we don’t always know what the effect will be. If we don’t accept our own power, we use it irresponsibly and destructively. If we believe we’re capable of powerfully affecting our own experience, the experiences of others, and the world, then we TAKE SERIOUSLY WHAT MAGIC and the RIPPLES OF ITS IMPACT. We may never get it perfect, but we find ourselves compelled to do the best we can.
The world needs YOUR MAGIC. In whatever form that is. It’s YOU. You know WHAT THAT IS, LOOKS LIKE, FEELS LIKE etc. But you will get BLOCKED, FREEZE, DENY, NEGATE etc. And CREATIVE ENERGY BLOCKS, i.e. your magic, (which includes sexual and money too) UNDERMINE your happiness and your sense of purpose because you ARE a creator and if you aren’t creating, you are not fully sparkling. You were born naturally knowing how to run YOUR CREATIVE GENIUS, it is part of your true soul essence.
There is such a link between MAGIC, SHAME, SE.X, CREATIVITY, BODY & THE SHADOW.
By far the most efficient way to INJURE + PARALYSE someone’s MAGIC is to SHAME THEIR SE.XUAL DESIRES + CREATIVE EXPRESSION – of which many of us have to some extent, whether through our culture, family or society!
Real magic is a matter of COURAGE.
